The food pantry I was
volunteering in yesterday had some of the butternut squash I wrote about a couple of weeks back. They were also offering frozen blueberries, fresh apples and fresh spinach, which had been harvested from greenhouses just last week. I am pleased to see minimally processed produce, even if it is frozen like the blueberries and squash, offered. I didn’t pack too many orders yesterday, so I don’t know how readily the squash and spinach were being taken, but the apples and blueberries are always popular, particularly in households with children.
